Dual extrude ooze problem
« on: January 07, 2014, 02:03:26 PM »
I finally tried a two color print with my V2 duo last night and it worked well except for a small oozing problem. See the attached picture. It looks like a slow leaking of hot plastic from the non-printing nozzle.

I have seen Herb's thread (http://forum.bukobot.com/index.php?topic=2971.msg4223#msg4223) and removed the custom tool change code under the printer settings in Slic3r.

How do I address this?

Stats: Printing PLA, 210 degrees, Mac OS X 10.7.5, Repetier V 0.56, Slic3r V 0.9.9

Thanks,
Paul

You can try adding some additional retraction when tool is disabled (bottom of the options for each extruder under printer settings in slic3r), but it is usually impossible to completely prevent this type of oozing without the custom gcode to cool the inactive extruder. That's what that code was designed to do.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
