MINTEMP
« on: December 11, 2013, 05:10:38 PM »
Hi,

Just wondering what the MINTEMP is for the printer?  Tried to print this morning not realizing how cold it was.  I think the bed was registering around 5 C and got a MINTEMP default.

Thanks,
MK

Not sure about the answer to your question, but this is what I did when I had problems with ambient temperature affecting the printer:

It worked amazingly well.

Yes, mintemp is set to 5C. This is really intended to detect when a thermistor has been disconnected (which should cause it to read 0C, or very close to it), but we recommend against running your printer in a room colder than 5C (41F) anyway.
