In my quest for a self-contained bukobot, I finally found what I think is an ideal setup.
I've been using my RPi for the past few months, and it works fine, but it meant I didn't have an interface at the bukobot, and was controlling everything from my laptop.
I got a VikiLCD with the idea of interfacing it to my printer, but before I got to it, I saw this:http://www.soliforum.com/post/19904
So I picked up a PengPod700, installed linux, reflashed my printer to 115200, switched over to using the PS to power the X3, and now have a fully self-contained bukobot with wireless connectivity, and a nice graphical interface.
I'm quite satisfied with this solution, as it is compact, has nice visual status, and provides all of control I need.
Having played with it a little, I don't think the PengPod is a great Linux tablet or even a great android tablet, but it seems to fit this type of usage model very well.
