spitfire online sale
« on: September 11, 2013, 09:00:02 AM »
i have an original bukobot, and luckily i purchased from deezmaker the new platform as V2 (based on his recommendation). which was a big improvement. currently i am running with QU-BD on the V2 platform. (i modded the barrel with a ptfe tube to fix the heat creep problem and it is working flawlessly)

what i dont have is:
a full SS hot end (currently i am using PTFE which is a temp limit)
a 3mm filament (qu-bd dont support 3mm)

i am wondering on time frame to release spit fire on deezmaker on line shop?

regards

We're hoping to get the upgrade kit up soon, but we keep needing to order more of the extruder parts just to fill orders for printers, and we can't start selling them as upgrade kits if it means we don't have them to fill orders for printers. Building the extruders is the most labor-intensive part of the machine, so it's one of our biggest bottlenecks.

Any news on this?  I'm looking for the v2 platform and dual spitfire, upgrading from a v1 Duo.  Any idea on cost?

Also, how well does it handle Ninjaflex filament?  It doesn't look like there is a lot of support between the drive gear and the cold end of the extruder, which sounds like it could be a problem.

Edit: Ah, I just found the update on the Bukobot kickstarter page (which I wasn't part of) and just wanted to mention that I had not previously expressed an interest in the upgrade kit.  I do see the estimated cost of $100 for single and $140 for dual.

We've run ninjaflex on the spitfire. The key is to slow down to reduce the back-pressure that causes buckling.
